Applesauce Cookies.....kitchen of Shannon

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. flour
2 c. Milk Chocolate Chips
chopped nuts (optional)

Mix above ingredients in order. Spray cookie sheet with Pam and drop by spoonfuls.Bake at 350 8-10 minutes.**This recipe makes about 5 dozen. Cut it in half if necessary.
